2023-2024
The team underwent a strategic planning process that brought clarity of mission. LOL became one of three backbone agencies for Thriving Together, building the foundation for a local, community-driven movement.
2022
Played a vital role in the distribution of relief following the Weaver Plant Fire. We also celebrated our 15th Christmas for the City!!
2021
Amidst the new normal, LOL continues to “show up” to build citywide partnerships and convene folks around shared passions.
2020
Broad network of nonprofits, faith-groups, & community partnerships engaged to distribute masks, food, & supplies to individuals in need of relief due to COVID.
2019
UNION: The Musical comes to Winston-Salem. Along with partner churches and organizations, we engaged in discussion and action steps with 1,000+ attendees.
2018
BASE launches as technological support to aid in connecting and mobilizing individuals.
2017
PATHWAYS launches to connect & engage people in their areas of calling.
2016
LOL has built capacity for community-led initiatives from the beginning - in 2016, we had 15 restricted funds representing citywide partnership. Some of the early programs include Joy Prom, Brownsboro University, & Gift Mart.
2015
LOL becomes an independent 501(c)3 after previously being housed under WS First. Our mission: increase connections to mobilize individuals towards transformation.
